Wagon R Stingray VXI Review

The Maruti Wagon R Stingray is the new model from the Indian auto major Maruti Suzuki India Limited. This new model has been placed in the entry level hatch segment and it is made available in overall three trims. The Wagon R Stingray VXi trim comes as a mid range variant in its series and it has been priced very competitively. The company has designed this new model in such a way that it looks very aggressive and sporiter than the earlier WagonR. It is however powered by the same K10B, 1.0-litre petrol mill, which is doing duty in the rest of its variants in this model series. One should appreciate the company's efforts in designing this hatch with captivating exteriors. In terms of appearance, this new hatchback looks completely different from the existing Maruti Wagon R. Technically, the Wagon R Stingray is the same as the existing Wagon R because of the same engine specifications, features and so on. The VXi trim comes with plush interiors cabin with premium black color scheme. This mid range variant also got the integrated music system with back-lit buttons and supports USB and AUX-in connectivity. With such exciting features and exciting price tag, Maruti Wagon R Stingray will make other manufacturers a run for their money in the automobile segment.

Exteriors:

The exterior design of the brand new Maruti Wagon R Stingray is truly fascinating and has got youth appeal. The company introduced this new model with the brand new projector headlights, which is first-in-segment. The front facade of this hatch is dominated by the aggressive headlight clusters and bolder design bumper. There is a brand new style reflector grille incorporated to the front facade that adds a brand new style to this hatch. On top of the hood, there is a flat bonnet that makes the Wagon R Stingray look boxy. This mid range trim has got a body colored bumper that houses a large air dam and fog lights, which complete the sporty front facade. The side profile of the new model has been blessed with body colored outside door handles, and rear view mirrors. Furthermore, its wheel arches have been fitted with 14 inch alloy wheels that are garnished in gunmetal grey color. The wheel arches have got some expressive design that adds to its bolder look. The rear bumper has received some re-treatment. There is a chrome badge fitted on top of the license plate. Apart from these, this mid range trim also has the trendy rear spoilers, B-pillar black out strip and a few other features as well.

When it comes to the interior cabin section, this mid range variant has been blessed with plush interiors and various utility features. The company has offered this variant with premium black interiors with 3D effect upholstery that comes with Stingray theme. As soon as you step inside this hatchback, you will be able to find a lot of chrome ascents inside the cabin. Things like AC vents, door handles and audio knob have been offered with chrome accentuation, which will provide a rich feel to the occupants inside. The company has offered the ergonomically designed seats and gear knob inside the cabin . The seats along with the door trims have got premium fabric upholstery.
