The old 1.2 MPI petrol engine delivers 74bhp@5400rpm/110Nm@3000-4300rpm. on the other hand, 999 cc MPI delivers 75.10bhp@6200rpm/95Nm@2950-3800rpm. So, as compared to old engine, it delivers similar power but it is no longer fun to drive as compared to old engine. But it delivers better fuel efficiency as compared to old 1.2 MPI engine. Moreover, if you want better power performance with fuel efficiency, you may opt for its 1.0-liter TSI engine variant. It produces 108.6bhp@5000-5500rpm/175nm@1750-4000rpm. It is fun to drive and delivers better power performance as compared to 1.2 MPI. Do take a test ride in order to get better clarity. Check out authorized dealership details.

Both cars are of different segments and come under different price ranges too. If we talk abouit Verna 2020, the changes to the 2020 Verna do not make a big difference to the overall package. But what they do is improve its strength further to a point where the overall experience is now a lot more impressive. The new looks, modern features and especially the new powertrain will not only impress you the first time you drive the car, but will also make you appreciate them more as you drive further in your ownership. And if you are not particular about enthusiastic or sporty driving, 1.5-litre CVT powertrain is a better fit for your everyday chores. Even from an economic standpoint, the Verna sits in the middle of the Volkswagen Vento automatic and the Honda City automatic, making it a sensible pick. The rear seat experience is still the biggest shortcoming in the package but if you can overlook that, the 2020 Verna gives you no reason to consider any other sedan in the segment. On the other hand, the new Polo managed to surprise us a bit, and in an area we were sure it was never going to outdo the outgoing 1.2 TSI in the fun to drive quotient! Yes, some of the drawbacks of this platform still remain i.e. the lack of space and a shorter features list than its rivals. But when you know that Volkswagen is planning to update the whole platform in a year the lack of changes doesn’t come as a surprise. It still managed to do a lot right though in terms of solid build quality, strong set of essential features as standard, and adds on top of that, great performance and a delightful driving experience. If space matters little to you and you intend to drive and experience the car more, the Polo hasn’t lost a beat with this update and polished up it’s performance and handling. You may compare both the cars according to their variants too. Do take a test drive in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.
