The Baleno is available in four variants - Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha - with a choice of either diesel or petrol engines. The Baleno facelift now gets BS 6 compatible petrol engines, while the diesel powertrain setup is the same BS 4 as before. Petrol variants are powered by a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated engine (84PS/115Nm) mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT. There’s a new 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine with the hybrid system is offered on select variants with a 5-speed manual only. The petrol engine has a claimed fuel efficiency of 21.4kmpl, while the new Dualjet petrol-mild hybrid engine has a claimed fuel efficiency of 23.87kmpl. The diesel variants get a 1.3-litre turbocharged motor (75PS/190Nm) sourced from Fiat. It is only available with a 5-speed MT and is the most frugal choice, with a claimed efficiency of 27.39kmpl. The 2019 Baleno offers rear parking sensors as standard while other safety features include ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchors and dual front airbags. A rear view camera is also offered. The facelifted hatchback now gets LED projector headlamps and new alloys too. It features a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, auto climate control, push-button stop/start, and passive keyless entry. For details, Click Here.
