This Maruti S-Cross is offered with two diesel engine options for the customers to select from. One among them is the 1.6-litre, DDiS 320 motor, which is capable of generating power of 118 bhp at 3750 rpm along with torque of 320Nm at just 1750rpm. This mill has a variable geometry turbocharger. On the other hand, it is equipped with a 1.3-litre, DDiS 200 diesel engine can belt out the maximum power of 88.5bhp at 4000rpm and a pounding torque of 200Nm at 1750rpm. Also, it is integrated with a common rail fuel injection system and has an inter-cooled turbocharger that assists in its all round performance. Moreover, both the power plants are compliant with Bharat Stage IV standard emission norms. The suspension is on the stiffer side, but it does manage to tackle potholes and broken roads relatively easily. It isn’t too bouncy and definitely feels more sure footed when on the highways.
