I had purchased Skoda Laura MT way back in 2008. Though the car is sporty ,comfortable and with lot of featres , there is one very important drawback. The clucth plate has a massive problem. It always goes under service f,Like once i was travelling and  the car stopped suddenlty and the gears wouldnt shift. This car was gone to the workshop by a tow van  and a bomb bill was handed to me. Nice car , i am presently obsessed with the Skoda Laura 1.8 TSI petrol car.. the car is brilliant so far..i had lot of apprehensions about its reported low mileage but i found that if you drive propery. you can easily get 9 to 10 kmpl in city and 12 - 13 in highways.....The interiors are good, should have given seat covers in standard package..the ground clearance is good...all in all a good car.The paint finish is very good, the car is much more    ... read full review

taking on cruze,skoda although does not match in pace with cruze,but the way she drives..through the corners and the ride comfort is amazing..cruze with 33kgms of torque on wheels does not possess traction control..but laura braking from even 160kmph is a kool stop.secondly the space she offers both front and rear is excellent and luxurious for family of 5.but in cruze inside is totally cramped..especially the rear seats height is reduced for its    ... read full review

As I can say tht ,the Chevy Cruze is an impressive car, the best by GM cars. It does have less space than the Laura but if you?re being chauffer driven you can overcome the deficiency in knee room by sliding the front left seat forward. And then the Cruze?s impressive ride quality and the more reclined seatback will make this an even more comfortable car to be driven around in.
