Quality of manufacturing in India is poor and dangerous: I purchased volkswagen Vento Highline petrol car ( WVWD11607BT054232, CLS 069007, 65751) which was delivered to me on 25th May 2011 from Frontier Autoword Gurgaon. On my first trial of the car itself I noticed a problem with gear shift, problem disappeared after sales person asked me to restart the car so I didn’t bother much and thought it could be because of new geras. However during few days of driving I realized that it was definitely a problem and went to volkswagen workshop at Gurgaon. Attendant at the center confirmed me that the problem was genuine as a lock or clip was not put in during the assembly. Seems Volkswagn is not following quality standards when it comes to India. Overall Experience: Very Poor

I booked volks wagen vento high line diesel and dealer agrred to deliever the car by this month end after 5 months waiting. i would like to know the engine performence regarding noise and spare wheel size which is 14 w.hen all the wheels are 15. pl send reply
I am using Vento Disel Highline, delivered in March end. I have driven car for 2000 KM so far. No problem faced so far. In long run (600 KM out of which 100km are inside bangalore) I got around 17km/l milage. Do not worry about spare wheel. The outer diameter of both the wheels are same. I also waited for 5 months long time to get the car delivery. Worth the wait. Nice car. But dealer response is very bad. In dealer response, no one can beat Maruti
hai usmani.. donot worry I had used vento for last 8 months around 32 Kilos...engine performenace was great...it is not that much noisy
hi , so has it been rectified or ur still facing the same problem. also cud u elaborate on what exactly was the problem with the gear shifting. i am also expecting the delivery in about 4-5 days. thnx
Problem has been fixed now. But point is that don't expect German flawless quality in India.

Sanjay, Go for something tested and well supported ones like SX4, City/Etios. I decided to drop off Vento after seeing these experiences. Vento over priced and poor featured car.
Hi, i was planning to take VW Vento Petrol ( Automatic )..KIndly suggest me if i should go ahaead with it??? I am really confused bet Vento & Honda City?? Also is Vento Petrol good?? Because i have heared that the Vento Diesel is better..Please suggest..
glad yr car is fixed now.Think u r right abt VW selling defective or standard of work in india not upto the mark..My 25 days old Vento Hgl Petrol(abt 400kms done) was and is now again in the workshop now.Very disappointing/harassing.Maybe they want me to book a permanent spot in their workshop???
brought vento diesel first time i am using diesel guys this car is goood and am happy with performance i hav crossed 400km ..........' I dint unstnd one thing why is it hard to move from reverse to 4th gear I find voks udaipur is doing good in customer service megha associate and mr Natesh are really goood in customer service.
