volkswagen polo, combo of style and excellent performance

Hi Anurag, thanks for your review.. I own a VW Polo 1.2L trendline petrol. Its awesome car. Engine performance & Pick up is superb. (Better than Swift).. All Fiat Punto, Swift, i20 car owners who were criticizing 3-cylinder engine of Polo must test drive it and regret for their critics.... I am getting 13 KMPL in city and 16/17 in highways... I just love my great car... But VW needs to come up with good & reasonable service setups & costs for their success in India....

I am going to buy a car of range between 5-5.5 lakhs. Can you please suggest which is the better option : polo, Fabia, swift and figo(all low end). Please give me the guidance.

I like it and wanted to have test drive. Staff at faridabed show room did not allow with a valid driving paper which has been issued by haryana licensing authority in place my driving licence ( VALID UPTO 27.02.11)it was required to be deposited for renewal as per rule. This is quite unfair and unjust and violation of rules of govt. Please make it convenient to give me chance of test drive/road test. Thanks

HI Mr. Anurag i have vw polo diesel top model realy it's amazing car. I DRIVE 160 RACE IS EMPTY FOR 30 SECOND ON DELHI KOLKATA HIGHWAY. CAR SITTING SPACE IS VERY BAD. I ALREADY HAVE SKODA FABIA AND LAURA, BUT IN PICKUP POLO IS TOO GOOD.CAR INNER SPACE IS TOO SHORT IF YOUR HIGHT 5'.10 NO DRIVE SPACE AND BACK SITTING SPACE. IF I GIVE GRADE 10 MARKS. 1. the diesel that i test drove was having good pickup but the engine noise is just too much i noticed the tachometer which was showing 5000 rpm i dont know whether such gear ratios will work for a long time i think the engine is overstressd. rest everything is great with this car a three cyl engine gives you a feeling of incompleteness

HI.. pls advise reg servicability of Polo diesel. Is it as exp as fabia? tnx

All cars are good every company do a lot of research on its products. But the thing is your preferences, you can not criticize any car. As per my expirience I found FIAT multiJet diesel Engine best in segment if we look for regular service and maintenance. I own a FIAT PUNTO & Swift both diesel. I test drived Polo found a bit sluggish and the service network is poor I have heard that they have 1 week waiting in servicing. I found both the cars are best, my swift has crossed 60000 Km and Punto crossed 23000 Kms. One thing I will admire about punto is looks and comfort. Also TATA has large service network I have around 7 service centers near by. For swift no introduction is required but I would say Maruti do not provide any luxury features in car which i have in my Punt's. I LOVE BOTH MY DIESEL MONSTERS, THEY ARE GREAT.

Every car is good and it really depends on what do you want from your car. I have a swift and i really love the car but i would not try to say what is not right. swift might have good pick up but it definatly does not give you safe feeling over 90 km, so there you go, your pick up hardly matters. and if you are going to drive on a race track its a different thing but then why would you go for a swift or a punto, go for some big engine car. My friend has a punto an its superb but some how i don't find the driving very charming, though it feels safe in punto. its a very stable car. Then i have just drove a Polo and i feel what they have given you is superb. Its a very stable car and fuel efficient as well, Even at a speed of 120kmpl car will give you a very safe feeling. handling is superb. As far as i can understand we need a car to roam with our family or for work purposes so i guess the most important thing before you consider buying a car is safety. and among all three polo is number one in that criterion Punto is second and swift comes the last.

dear friends, i am planning to uy car and confused between polo and rits as the network of maruti and its maintenance is always very economical and range is also quite decent with the free 3 service whereas polo doesnot offer any free service so i fear that its maintenance is too high as compared so my dear friends please suggestz...
