Toyota Etios Liva Details one or the other drawbacks will be there so better compromise with it.. moreover mileage is taken into account specially in india..:)
Sorry to say you that swift diesel totally outplays liva diesel. i think you have not yet drived new swift diesel. if you will drive new swift i am sure you will be dissapointed in your choice of buying liva.
i have driven new swift and old also.. my bro has an old one.. and i knw well about swift.. i dont like the turbo lag of swift.. yes it has more pick up than liva.. but not comfortable as liva.. swift's back seat is horrible.. but liva gives u comfortable backseats... liva may not have an upmarket feel as swift has.. i knw my brother's maintenance cost.. for each service he is charged 4000 - 5000.. and service interval is 5000 kms.. look at liva..service interval is 10000 kms and i had written my first service cost.. only Rs.1700.. i was surprised to see my bill.. As a family car liva's practicality is more than swift, polo etc. i love it...
Hi Ahammed, I am also planning to Buy a Liva - GD. I already have made up my mind nearly 95%. I am only thinking about going for a Chevy BEAT disel since it will cost little less and they have 3 years no cost service plan in which we don't have to pay single rupee and the service will be free only engine oil will be charged. What say about this.. your reply will surely help in making a better and smart decision.
hey this is ram.. some 1 said liva is producing more noise in engine and its suspension is very odd ; is it right... i believe u so ly i asking.
Mr.Ram, engine noise of liva is on a higher side compared to its competitors.. that I agree.. Now my car is 33000 kms old. Still its tyres are in good condition, My total Maintenance cost is below 7500/-. and till now i havent suffered any suspension problem... I have driven it on almost all terrains.. Am a real happy owner of Liva because its simply a practical car..
i have driven both swifts, old and new.. my brother has an old swift and partner has new one.. i dont like swifts turbo lag, and its not as spacious as liva.. swifts back seat is horrible.. whereas livas back seat is great... swift's maintenance cost is much higher when compared to liva.. for each service dealers in kerala chrging around 5000/- that too in 5000 kms intervals.. my livas maintenance is much lower....
hi ahammed.i am planning to buy etios live.please suggest me.as i have heard that it has turbulence problem in low gears and interiors are very poor quality.please suggest me.and what about mileage??
gaurav, interiors are of poor quality.. i agree with it.. its given there in my statement.. but till now i had not faced any rattling issues.. its just fine.. and the utility is more.. so many storage spaces and ergonomics is also good.. the car is more practical one.. its not an enthusiast's car.. like any toyota vehicle, its a good practical car.. and mileage is also superb.. i am getting an average of 20 kmpl... and maintenance is almost nil till now..
Hi Ahamed, I too own a Liva diesel and entirely agree with your points. By the way, have you heard of red rooster tuning kit for Etios and Liva diesel now introduced as part of TRD(Toyota racing development). It's available in Nippon Toyota ,kochi. It's supposed to give around 40% improvement in power and supposed to make Liva very powerful. Since red rooster is associated with Toyota warranty won't be void. It's cost is somewhere around Rs 28000.

Chevy diesel is also good option... but compared to liva's practicality its not good.. liva has a lot of space, good boot etc. but beat doesnt have this.. and my liva's second service at 20000 kms is also over and it costed me only Rs.1680... thats the maintenace cost of a toyota.. its almost maintenance free..
hai, iam shAbeer.ialanning tobuy a dieselcar andi had a testdriveofliva.but the test drive ve vehicle is fitted with that additionapower kit, and I didnt feel amy power deficiency . if ur car does npt hve that additional kit, then I want a good feedback frm u about the power output with full seat pasngr and ac on city
me booked one and paid advance..really put off after reading the 'suspension' related complaints..roads are not that good in our place..still thinking whether i should cancel the booking or go with it..help me with your suggestion.. please.
Hey Anil.. dont worry there s no suspemsion problem in it..Go on you tube and watch video via CNBC Check ur doubt..
Iam getting average 16km/ltr only. My liva gd 10000km maintainance cost is onlyRs.1800. But Engine sound will be there when ever you are increasing the speed. By observing that sound you have to change to higher gear. Then it will be o.k.
I am also planing to buy Liva; but petrol version - Liva G (new one). Can some one advice how is it. I know the mileage is not as good as Gd; but my wallet can accomodate only G. Really appreaciate your inputs - this is going to be my first car. How about the maintenance cost compared to Maruti, I mean Spares etc. As I am going to be the first time driver, just in case of scratches, dents n all want to evalute this dimention as well.
