I bought a Vxi in December 2009 and this is my review after 1 month. Good things - Overall quite satisfied with the car. - Excellent manouveribility - Excellent for city driving. - Great for 4 people ONLY! Any more then 4 and you are left uncomfortable - Mileage around 13-14 KMPL (even before first service) - Great Trunk space (dicky) - Very good visibility of the road due to higher seating position Not so good.. - Gear shift take some getting used to - Fifth gear is very oddly placed (but not a big deal) - Shift to Back gear needs more refining - Front seats are good for tall people. But if you have front seats completely backed then rear seats don't have much leg space left. Conclusion: Don't buy this car if you have a family with four adults and a few kids, there is simple not enough space for so many people. But if you are a family of four with occasional extra passaenger then this car is just fine.

Thanks for detailed feedback.. Is the wagon r car a good drive for long journeys ? i need to drive around 4000 kms a month so a car that can provide me that durability would be good. Can you please advice
For long drives its OK, but more suitable for short journeys. I won a W-R and had driven it from Dehradun to Delhi, Dehradun to Amritsar, Dehradun to Shimla, etc..........and with AC on I have never faced any difficulties in driving this car........with AC on it gives 11-12 km/l in city and 13-14 km/l in highways.......
Its a nice car for family of four and very confortalble forong drive.
I am been owning the Wagon R for over 5 years. I have done long journeys and am quite satisfied with the performance. I should say a great value for money. Comes with the dependability of Maruti.
