Dzire is the ugliest thing ever runs Indian roads by Maruti as per the product designing. Thanks to the so called ?designers? at Maruti, How really made the Swift?s backside extended which looks a tank. And the rear curves hardly blend into the boot. Even a school going kid to draw a car he will come up with the better design and good looking car than Swift Sedan (Dzire). Just adding the boot space does not make it a sedan. Even Esteem?s simple and good look makes more difference than the ugliest car design. And finally all those how say a good about Dzire?s performance than it is just a rubbish. Esteem is giving the same performance those how don?t know. Maruti has just put the same petrol esteem engine (2005 and above) esteem (petrol engine, 4 stroke cycle all aluminum SOHC 4/cylinder 1298cc, 32 bit EMC) in Dzire. Just check the Specifications of esteem and Dzire. Also about mileage a 2005 above esteem give?s 14 to 15 Kml on highways. Any way, all claimed mileages by companies are on highways only. Correct. And about the rear space legroom and the seating space in back it is same as SWIFT. That means it is smaller than esteem space. If any one has doubt than chk and let me know. So any time Esteem (2005 and above) was better than Dzire (True for value). But unfortunately Maruti has discontinued the Esteem product so Maurti lovers don?t have any other options.

before you support dezire you just refer whats the car designers said about the dezire. they said its actually not based on any airodynamic shape followed. thay why its not launched world wide. in japan the dezire is different. the front side of the dizire based on dolphin so have to folow something similar like that, in dizire back side look like sporty..what a difference...if u look it from the side the of the car and u can see the difference..here its not targeting about the engine or riding...just visual appearance...see and debate...

It is for my personal use. Nearly 10km ride a day. Two long drive of 1000km in a year. Which model should i prefer. Petrol or diesel??? pl help me to choose a DZIRE model.
you should take the petrol because deisel car is for those who drive a car 50 km in a day.but ur saying that u only drive 10 km per day soi suggest u to choose swift dzire petrol and one more thing if u choose diesel car u have a big trouble with the sound of engine.
Even though Sameer had given you his inputs, i too suggest if you have 10-20 KM per day ride, better go for petrol only.
Go for Petrol
as per my view you shud go for diesel that realyy save you some thing more in comparison to increased cost of diesel unit.

well if ur budget is around 4lacs i wud suggest go wid indica ev2, or figo or wid etios liva if u can raise ur budget by 50k.

Dzire is not comfortable. We thought of purchasing Swift dzire. We test drove the car. The rear seat is not comfortable looking like a prison. The windows in the reae seat is small. you cannot view the road. Even new wagonr is very comfortable and spacious that swift dzire. Then we bought The blue eyed boy wagonr. Dzire is not comfortable
pranika don't miss guide... it's ok that you don't like it... but it is very comfortable. i have Honda city ivtec and dzire. i drove both of them in case of seats i hardly found any difference. but if like a car like wagonr and alto then I would like to tell you that these are just good in mileage and maintains but not in comfort.

I purchased the Dzire Vxi(K)in Jan 2010.I had Esteem earlier. I had converted my esteem to LPG later.I have driven my Dzire 8000 Km now. My comparison of Esteem/Dzire is as below. The esteem was giving 11 in city and 16 on highway. Dzire 12 in city and 16.5 in highway. The mileage of Esteem was consistant. But Dzire mileage varies.I have driven cars since 15 years. But only this Dzire could proove that Iam not a good driver. I never got a mileage more than 16.5 W/o A/c in highway in Dzire even with a MASS driver.After the arrival of Ritz Swift and Dzire shape became beautiful.Parking Dzire in closed carriage without somebody`s help is difficult. Maintaining Dzire without dents are tiresome. The travel comfort in backseat was better in Esteem. The front pillars of Dzire are obsrtucting the vision while taking a right turn. Since Esteem is not produced by Maruthi we are forced to appreciate Dzire. Esteem is a serious looking vehicle which was used by VIP`s. Dzire will never replace esteem`s Vacuum. Only SX4 can fill that place.

look wise,i feel dzire fascinating.about road performance,i'm yet waiting results. the thing that baffles me most is its long waiting period. if its an average car, then why people book it, knowing very well its waiting. there has to be something magical in this car that forces the people to bear the long wait.

I bought Dzire VDI recently. I am in kuwait. I have heard it has good mileage, comfort and it cost me 7 lakhs in kerala on road. I think the price is too good as u get tubeless tyres, cd player, lighter and looks are not bad at all, fog lamps. I feel its worth... Planning to b there by apr end to drive MY DZIRE !!!!

Hi, I am confused between desize LXI and ascent. Can anybody help me to select between two. I have found that ascent has more better interior than dezire but lack in milage. Secondly, ascent is old model so can be taken away from market any time. I need expert comment of the fellow users.

dzire is better choice for resale value, boot space, mileage. I have vdi diesel. Good comfort, spaccious. I feel spare sparts ll b cheaper than Tata

Dezire ur era gone dear and Maruti dont fool with this version in market any more.We appreaciate you only for space, dezire but now realised we paid more for it. As the people who admired earlier after seeing Toyota Etios will tell Dezire as ugliest and all other words to express dissatisfaction. I have a Dezire which I bought i July 2009. I feel it very comfortable. Only difficulty I found is that while taking a right turn the road visibility is very poor because of the right pillar. Also very difficult to park in a closed place without somebody's help and side camera. other comfortwise it is ok. Not much as I had expected.
If u r agood driver u dont need help to park anywhere let it b for any car. And about the pillar I m not sure but will tell u later about it.

Go for the Manza if you want best in class rear seat comfort or get the Dzire for low running cost and high resale.

dear friends, i have a honda city zx , a dzire and also a verna i think if you compare dzire with the other two yes you can compare dzire vdi old version is awesome in pick up ofcourse honda city petrol is far ahead but when i compare verna diesel is much spacious and power equivalent to dzire as per my view dzire is far better i mean not in looks and handling coz it goes down both the way if you want to drive long at 100-120 and you have a good control and low budget and yet diesel only door open is dzire and the only drawback is looks as per some people though i love the antique design not yet seen in any car but yes handling swift dzire at more than 120 is like knowing a well and still jumping in it with an intention of suicide coz it really becomes uncontrolable at such speed though you can take it easily at 150 km/hr but really not safe whereas city and verna easily reach the speed and are quite controlable at high speed but what you gonna do with speed if you want really a less budget diesel with well developed service network best resale its only dzire thats why dzire top the charts in low budget diesel sedan cars not my personal view but as seen on web yeah some people have complain of looks but really its cool and ample boot space with 18km / lt average at 45 rs common people its cheapest sedan just compromise looks and handling though both not so bad and have a good 5 years zero maintainence happy sedan experience. and city rocks but costly verna too costly especiall fluidic top end you can buy a swift ldi and a dzire ldi in that cost so cheers dzire its really awesome have fun its my personal experience and it differs from people to people so no offence
