I was planning to buy the latest avatar of Maruti Alto since its launch in August 2010 and finally I got my new Alto K10 last month. Maruti Alto K10 is my second hatchback from Maruti and I must say that the company has launched an excellent variant of Alto. Earlier, I had an antecedent of the same model that comes with 3-cylinder, 796cc petrol engine and had a very nice experience with that model. Look and Style I love the stylish and sporty cars but smaller budget restrained me to plan for any high end sporty car. But the launch of Maruti Alto K10 has given an excellent option for car buyers in this segment. Slight changes on the exteriors include revised headlamps, bumpers and tail lamp unit of the Maruti Alto K10 mark the new car arrival. The cockpit of the Alto K10 is almost similar to its predecessor but the steering and instrument cluster got some slight changes. One of the new feature that impressed me more is smaller and smartly weighed three spoke steering wheel that gives the feel of a sport car. Tachometer and digital fuel gauge are the new entrants in the Alto K10. Comfort As already mentioned, the interiors of the Maruti Alto K10 is almost similar to its predecessor in terms of look and space but the redesigned front seats give extra legroom on front. The deep cut in the back of front seats give an extra knee room for the rear passengers. The brilliant K series engine gives maximum power of 68 PS that results comfort riding in city as well as on highway. Pickup I have driven many small cars in my life and among the hatchbacks of this segment; I experienced that Maruti Alto K10 posses the best pick up. The latest all aluminum KB series engine of Alto K10 delivers the 68 PS of maximum power with 90 Nm of maximum torque. This figure might look smaller but this little beauty has the weight of 765 kg which is much lesser (around 120 kg) than the Maruti A Star that results in better pick up. As per the sales person it can hit the 100kmph mark in just 15 seconds. Generally most of the people never used to go for 0 – 100 drag launches or try to go beyond 140kmph mark, I am one of them. However, I took the car upto the speed of 130kmph couple of times and I never felt that the car is under power. Mileage As per the ARAI test reports, Maruti Alto K10 can deliver the mileage of 20.2kmpl. As my car is new, I am not able to say what exactly the maximum mileage my car can deliver but one of my colleague is getting the mileage of 18 kmpl in the driving condition at Jaipur. So I am expecting the similar mileage from my car. Best Features Combination of excellent fuel efficiency, power and trendy look with affordable price tag. Needs to improve As per my requirements, the Maruti Alto K10 is perfect for me. However, the interiors of the car could be improved with some new features. Overall Experience I had a wonderful experience with the Maruti Alto K10!!! It is comfortable, stylish, well performer, and demands very less maintenance. I am a really happy Maruti Alto K10 customer.

If you compare three car i.e., Alto K10, Zen Estilo & Wagon-R, the lenght & width of all the car is same but the difference is of only height. So this car as specious as Zen Estilo & Wagon-R, now you can think about the space and comfort

Yes.The car behaves very well along the highways because you can drive in5th gear.The car goes at highspeed and you will notice the speed only after you look at the speedometer .Actually it is a pleasure to drive .

I bought my ALTO K10 on 31st December 2010.Drove about 800KM. in Mumbai.I find it a wonderful car with Value for money.The SAI MOTORSAndheri who sold me the car gave me excellent service.I hope they keep it up in future also!!

You woould experience better service if you would have bought it from Ratan Motors, Chembur. I always got personalised services from them. They are better than Sai Motors and also provide better discounts.

Maruti and all other companies are making fool to indian customers through launching of different models, with different names.I am using Maruti 800 ac and why should we buy k10,Astar,Vgr,hudai,ceverle,ford for comfirt.there is no comfirt in any make,this is just a phychological feelings of extra money. Don't waste money,keep extra money in monthly plan and use it for petrol.WAIT FOR HIBRID MODELS.don't waste money....

How is the AltoK-10 comfort wise i.e. leg space ,etc for persons with hieght of 5'9 to 6'? And do you find too much difference in hieght between Alto K-10 and WAGONR or ESTILO ? Actually I saw the hieght mentioned for ALTO K-10 is 1460mm and the Estilo is 1515mm . Also is interior space too much of a difference for ALTO K-10 and ESTILO / WAGON R. Commments ?

Dont buy i10 magna....it have only 11 km mileage compared to 17-18 km milege for alto with AC...Go for ritz disel....

Hi All, I'm 5Ft 4`inches. I'm confused whether to go for Wagon R or k10 alto. I might travel a max of 1000 kms Per month which might include a long drive of 350 Kms one way. So on milage wise Im sure that K10 is better. But on comfort wise is Wagon R worth the extra money that is spent? Is it too tiresome in travelling on Alto 10 when compared to Wagon R?

I have an Alto K10 Vxi, its excellent in driving but i am not getting the mileage which is expected & choose this car over others, it is giving me 15.50 KMPL, is this other guys getting from K10. Also please discuss - how about cng fitment, as i inquired, only sequential kit can be useful but again it costs 65k, which is too expensive. Please give suggestions.

Maruti Suzuki's K10 is excellent combination of looks and power, it has best pickup in its segment and its pleasure driving in highways as you can feel the speed only if open the windows. The company's R and D has to improve the interiors like plastic mouldings quality, slight improvement in the width, et., overall its a nice effort to bring sports small car
