good car but very bad services, no spares available wth dealers, cost of the spares very high

Pros : mileage great - above 22km/l on highway at 100 km/hr or 2000rpm
Cons : looks, steering, services, hard clutch, worst services

I bought a logan diesel after lots of feedback from friends and the review sites. Everyone was giving it thumbs up for performance and mileage. I have driven it for approx 10000 km in two months and feel that I can write a review. I would review it on many aspects ? First the good thingsL: 1) Price ? Most economically priced car. True value for money. 2) Amazing to control and drive on high speed, even on curves at 100km/hr it is very smooth and fully in control. 3) Lots of power in diesel engine, No noise once inside the car. Good pick up on full load but only on highway. 4) Looks aren?t the best but I found it very robust and tough. 5) Interiors are just ok. The knobs are peculiarly placed and bit difficult to get used to. 6) Mileage ? 15km/l in city, but above 22 km/l on highway. 7) Amazing space for even 3 people on back seat and boot space is just HUGE. 8) One tank full of 50 lts can take you more than 1000 km on highway. 9) Boot opener now available in new version. 10) The speedometer gives so much information. 11) Braking is excellent The negative parts: 1) VERY VERY COSTLY SPARES ( don?t go by their information on website. Check the autocar review of annual issue and you will know that their most parts are atleast twice any other car of same segment) 2) Very heavy doors and hard to shut 3) Pickup in city conditions is not at all good even with the 1.5L engine 4) Hard steering control than most other cars in market 5) PATHETIC service back up 6) Screen vipers in opposite direction leave traces of water right in centre of windscreen. 7) The knobs of A/C and other controls are not comfortable placed. It takes time to get used to them. 8) Once the free services are over the maintenance is gong to kill you as even the small parts are very costly.(European you see) 9) Your thighs are very strained by hard clutch if you drive in city traffic. Now the real facts: DO NOT TRUST THE MAHINDRA DEALER ? SRI DURGA AUTOMOBLE TO GIVE YOU ANY SERVICE AT ALL. My car had problem with the handbrake not working just after 5 days of first service. I have made more than 100 calls and 10+ visits to get it repaired but nobody cares to repair it. They just keep saying that the part has not arrived and they are waiting for it since last almost two months now. If that?s the way they will serve their customers for such a trivial problem, then GOD help them. They don?t even bother to call back to inform the status even after assurance from their so called service managers and brach managers that they will inform us. Been driving without handbrakes for last two months and still no information on the availability of replacement part . If you are planning to buy a logan I would suggest you rethink because they have the worst service attitude. Even the M&M site has no option to lodge a complaint directly with the company. I understand that the whole system is being imported from Renault and thus they have no stock of spares over here. The rising euro have contributed to even costlier spares.
