Hi, i will suggest you to buy sumo grande. Now see, the grande looks better then xylo which seems quite confusing. In xylo only 7 people including driver can sit comfortably but in grande 9-10 people can sit comfortably including the driver. Also grande has dedicated air con vents for all 3 rows whereas the xylo doesn't have a/c even for the 2nd row. Again, the DICOR engine of grande is a scaled down version of safari which is refined & very responsive in city traffic conditions, it is also excellent for highway use too. The most important thing is that you can't remove the 3rd row seat of xylo or innova like the grande to accommodate more luggage. Grande is also cheaper to buy & maintain then both innova & xylo.

I don't know about grande but i can provide you the answer regarding innova . The answer is bit technical xylo have all the features that a person wants high clearance ,nice engine, too many fancy utilities,and the best part is the price but there is something which xylo don't have is safety and long term reliability i tell you why and how . For safety i won't talk about abs or air bags but something more important than this that is design of the vehicle. Xylo is not capable to contest in tests like euro n cap test (and the reason is not the cost but its inability even small cars like spark ritz swift sedan like civic and many others had good rating in test) which similar muv's like innova/tavera got nice ratings in these tests they practically analyse every part of the car that in case of long term running and accidents what can happen. And both innova and tavera passed this with good rating. I myself drove all the three to extreane and found. At high speeds xylo was the most unstable with least brakings. Also the body roll was the highest due to its high center of gravity.Muv's are meant to be responsible as more people travel in it . Next is about the weights just google the kerb (not gross ) weights of all the three vehicles you ll find xylo more weighy (about 250 kgs) leading to more tire consumption. And much maintenance. Just test drive xylo and you can feel the swings while brakings at high speed. There is one more point of crumple zones, in the event of accident its better for a car to have crumple body rather than collapse body as when body crumples it means it absorbs the impact of accident itself and not let to pass to passengers in innova/tavera this crumple zones actually works as was evident from the tests and as seen the road accidents. Mahindra they do computer simulation test which is not an authentic test and is done with an animation of xylo and are reluctant to go for euro tests which is the most authentic so in case of accident xylo will either collapse metal which may hurt or topple due to high center of gravity .So xylo has all the things that a person wants from vehicle but do not have what the vehicle should have. So i wont recommend anyone an unsafe vehicle which is mainly meant for families.Disclaimer: i do not own any of the vehicles discussed above.
