What is the difference between a hybrid engine variant and a simple engine variant.

Hybrid engine variants works on the principle that they will use the fuel for providing the power to the engine in dis-continuous manner. That is fuel supply is stopped when there is not enough requirement of fuel inside the vehicle. While the other simple engine variants are not featured with such specialties.
