G Class 2011-2023 G63 Review
The German luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz have given the Indian customers another flamboyant and lavish off roader, which was recently launched. This Mercedes Benz G Class G63 AMG is one of the most expensive and luxuriant SUVs from the stables of Mercedes-Benz. The Mercedes-Benz G Class model was first launched in the year 1970 as a vehicle that was to be used in the armed forces. The first civilian version of this stylish and charming Mercedes-Benz G Class model was introduced into the world market in the year 1979 and since then, it has been all the rage for SUV enthusiasts. This SUV has been through a number of changes and other makeovers in the period of the last two decades. The Mercedes-Benz G Class has been dubbed as the fastest SUV in the Indian market as its powerful engine enables it to break the speed barrier of 100 kmph in just about 5.5 seconds, which is rather thrilling. Now with this latest entrant that has been launched in the Indian car market, the company is expecting see a lot more sales of this SUV. The company has effected some changes to the exteriors as well as the power train along with the interiors as well. All these put together are being expected to increase the sales of this highly priced SUV among the Indian aficionados. The company has equipped this latest Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG with a performance packed 5.5-litre bi-turbo petrol engine, which has 8 cylinders along with a whopping 32 valves in it . This power packed engine is skilfully mated with a 7-speed, G-tronic automatic transmission, which also has an improved AMG speed shift plus. The company has also equipped this Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG with best in class comfort features; some of which include a powerful air conditioner unit with automatic climate control and air quality control along with rear AC vents, a multi functional power steering wheel that can be adjustable, front and rear power windows and many more such features. Apart from these, the company has also packed this SUV with some very crucial and significant safety features, which propels this SUV into the league of premium SUV's.
Exteriors
The exteriors of this SUV are captivating and have been styled with elegance. The front facade has a large and broad two slat radiator grille with a lot of chrome treatment. This grille has a big logo of the company embedded on it and is flanked by a radiant head light cluster, which is equipped with powerful Xenon lamps and also has the LED day time running lamps. The side profile is regular with standard body coloured door handles and outside rear view mirrors, which have been equipped with side turn indicators. The wheel arches are pronounced and have been astutely carved to accommodate a classy set of five twin spoke 20-inch alloy wheels, which are of size 9.5 J x 20 . These modish alloy rims have been further covered with a robust set of tubeless radial tyres of size 275/50 R20 113W RF that have a superior road grip on any terrain. The rear end has a bright tail lamp cluster and a large wind screen, which have been equipped with a wash and wipe function along with a defogger.The overall dimensions of this Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG are very spacious and can accommodate five passengers with ease. The total length of this SUV is 4673mm along with an overall width of 1855mm, which also includes the external wing mirrors. This SUV has a total height of 1938mm along with a roomy wheelbase of 2850mm, which is rather comfortable. It also has a minimum turning radius of 13.60 meters and an approximate kerb weight of 2550 kgs. This Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG also has a massive fuel tank, which can take in close to 96 litres of which about 14 litres of petrol will be in reserve.
Interiors
The interiors are very lavish with comfortable seats, which have been covered with top quality leather. The steering wheel, gear lever as well as the hand brake area are all clad in leather, which gives a regal look to the insides. The company claims that this SUV can attain a mind boggling top speed of 210 kmph and this commanding engine has the ability to propel this SUV from 0-100 kmph in 5.4 seconds, which is thrilling.

The front as well as the rear wheels of this SUV have been equipped with ventilated disc brakes for efficient braking . While the company has also equipped this Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG SUV with an advanced ABS and EBD that further enhances the braking ability of this SUV on any landscape.
