500 Abarth 595 Competizione Review
Fiat 500 Abarth 595 Competizione is the latest entrant in the country's auto market. This variant has all the looks and a style statement that can easily attract any car aficionado. It comes with a curvy body line and includes some remarkable aspects. Upfront, it has a unique radiator grille and a perforated air intake section, which is flanked by a couple of fog lamps. Its attractive side profile features an elegant set of alloy wheels as well as sporty side skirts. Coming to its rear end, there is a stylish bumper, bright tail lamps and roof integrated spoiler as well, which makes its rear profile quite appealing. This hatch is blessed with a plush internal section that is packed with several sophisticated aspects. Its cockpit looks quite modernistic with some advanced equipments like a responsive steering wheel, illuminated instrument cluster and an infotainment system. However, the addition of chrome accents on a few aspects further gives it a classy touch. All the seats offer maximum support and comfort, whereas a few utility features are also offered for added convenience. In terms of safety, it has anti lock braking system, central door locking, rear parking sensors, and airbags as well, which ensures good passenger protection. This vehicle has a 1.4-litre, T-Jet petrol engine under its bonnet, which can belt out 160bhp peak power in combination with 230Nm torque output.
Exteriors:
This trim has a stunning front facade, which includes a bold radiator grille. This is surrounded by a large headlight cluster that is equipped with HID headlamps. It has a well sculpted bumper that is painted in body color and fitted with an airdam, which is flanked by a pair of fog lamps. The bonnet looks attractive with visible character lines on it, whereas the wide windscreen is integrated with a couple of wipers. On the sides, it has aspects like door handles, outside rear view mirrors and side skirts as well. The pronounced wheel arches are fitted with a modish set of 17 inch alloy wheels that are further covered with Pirelli Pzero 205/40 sized tubeless tyres. Coming to its rear end, it has a wide windshield and a roof integrated spoiler that adds to its sportiness. The tail lamps come equipped with turn indicators, whereas the boot lid has a thick chrome strip above license plate. Other features like a bumper, roof mounted antenna and exhaust pipes completes its rear profile. In terms of dimensions, it is built with a total length of 3657mm along with a height and width of 1485mm and 1627mm respectively. Meanwhile, it is designed with a total wheelbase of 2300mm.
Interiors:
It has a plush internal section that is decorated elegantly with a two tone color scheme. At front, it features a well designed dashboard that houses a responsive steering wheel, round shaped air vents, and a stylish center console that is equipped with a music system. It has an illuminated instrument cluster as well that provides several updates about this car. The cabin is incorporated with well cushioned seats that are covered with fine quality upholstery. These seats are integrated with headrests, which gives utmost support and comfort. The chrome accentuation on a few of its aspects like door handles, and steering wheel further offers it a rich appeal. In addition to all these, it also includes a glove box, door trim pockets, and some utility aspects as well for added convenience.
Engine and Performance:
Under the bonnet is a 1.4-litre, T-Jet petrol engine that has a total displacement capacity of 1368cc. This carries four cylinders, 16 valves and is based on a double overhead camshaft valve configuration. It is capable of churning out a peak power of 160bhp at 5500rpm. But, there are two driving modes to select from that give different torque on demand. In the Sports mode, it generates 230Nm at 3000rpm, while the output comes down to 201Nm at 2750rpm, when driven in the normal mode. This turbocharged mill is paired with a five speed sequential AMT (automated manual transmission) gear box. This propels the vehicle to attain a top speed of nearly 205 Kmph and helps it to break the speed mark of 100 Kmph in about 7.6 seconds. Besides these, it can return a mileage of in the range of 13 to 15 Kmpl depending on the driving conditions.
Braking and Handling:
It is offered with a lowered sports suspension system that is based on FSD (frequency selective damping) technology. It is further accompanied by shock absorbers that help in smooth and hassle free drive. The braking system is quite reliable wherein, both its front and rear wheels are equipped with ventilated disc brakes with four piston fixed brake calipers. Besides these, it is bestowed with a highly responsive steering wheel that aids in easy maneuverability in any road condition.
Comfort Features:
The car maker has bestowed this stunning hatch with some sophisticated aspects that grants an enjoyable driving experience to its passengers. It comes with a digital instrument panel featuring a 7-inch TFT color display screen. An advanced audio unit is offered, which allows its occupants to enjoy their favorite music. It includes an MP3 player, radio tuner besides supporting USB port, and Bluetooth hands free system.
