BMW 6 Series 650i Convertible

At the very first sight, the BMW 6 Series 650i convertible captures everyone’s attention. The flux flowing contour shape is inspired from the elegance of flowing water. The bi Xenon headlights and adaptive LED rings on the running lights compel a person to be charmed. There is an option of choosing 8 different colours for this car. These colors are Titanium Silver, Black Sapphire, Havanna, Space Grey, Deep Sea Blue, Alpine White, Onion Silver and Vermilion Red. The chrome plated kidney grille and aluminum Matte finish are simply stunning. Automatic dazzle reduction function is a  stock funtion with the interior and exterior mirrors. And as for the dimensions, they are as following: the overall length, width and height measures out to be 4894mm, 1894mm and 1365mm respectively. The wheelbase is about 2855mm which creates for a lot of space in the cabin. The ground clearance is just 123mm which may cause some trouble on the Indian roads but is a definite performance booster. Interiors

Under the hood, there is a twin turbo charged petrol engine that has direct fuel injection and produces a staggering 402bhp at the rate of 5500 rpm and maximum torque output of 650Nm in the range between 2000 to 4500 rpm. Traveling from 0 to 100 kmph takes less than 5 seconds and it just takes off to the horizon with its high pick up speeds. Additionally, the V8 engine produces a roar similar to that of a sports car. The car’s engine comprise of an 8-cylinder, 4-valves per cylinder configuration of the V design. As the BMW 6 Series 650i convertible has an 8-speed automatic transmission, cruise control makes the driving even more pleasurable. A manual paddle shift is present along with the automatic transmission if any need arises. BMW’s efficient dynamics have made the overall fuel economy a decent figure of 11 kmpl. And the top speed is limited to 250 kmph.

Braking and Handling

The braking system of the BMW 6 Series 650i convertible comprises of ventilated disc brakes for both the front and rear systems. The addition of aluminum brake calipers provides good braking. For the front suspension system, a double wishbone mechanism has been affixed. Automatic Stability Control (ASC) and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) ensure that driver has full control over the BMW 6 Series 650i convertible at all times. It also comprises of light alloy 9J X 19-inch wheels with tyre dimensions of 245/40 R19.

Safety features

The BMW 6 Series 650i convertible comes with a long and fully loaded list of safety features. Head restraints are optional and can be removed.
