Weekly Wrap-Up: Launch of S-Cross, Abarth 595, Mini Countryman; Aspire and S63 AMG release dates announced

It’s been a week we witnessed the launch of the much-awaited S-Cross and some iconic rides like Mini Cooper Countryman D and Abarth 595 Competizione. Also, the showcase of the Abarth Punto EVO and the Ford Endeavour raised the curiosity among the Indian auto enthusiasts. While, the Dakshin Dare Rally organized by Maruti took care of the motorsport space, EcoSport crossed the 2,00,000 vehicle milestone for Ford and Jazz became Honda’s best-seller model leaving behind the City. Mercedes announced the S63 AMG launch for 11th of August, while Ford will be launching the Figo Aspire on 12th of August.

Maruti S Cross Launched at Rs 8.34 lac (Watch Video)

Maruti Suzuki has launched its highly anticipated S-Cross at Rs. 8.34 lacs, ex-showroom Delhi. The S Cross is the first premium crossover of the country. It has a superior blend of power, comfort and luxury. Built on an all-new platform, the car offers a choice between a 1.3 and a 1.6 liter DDiS engine with no petrol variant, making it the only vehicle in the Maruti Suzuki's lineup to not have a petrol engine. The 1.3-liter motor produces 90 BHP along with a more effective 1.6-liter DDiS engine that delivers 120 BHP of power and a whopping 320NM of torque, capable of 0 - 100Km/h 11.3 sec, which makes it all the more intense than its adversaries. New 2015 Mini Countryman Launched in India for Rs. 36.5 lac

After unveiling the car at New York Auto Show 2014, BMW has finally launched the new Mini Countryman facelift in India for Rs. 36.5 lac. The car has received small cosmetic changes which are mostly focused on the outside. The 2015 Countryman gets a new front grille, new alloy wheels and LED daytime running and fog lights. The compact crossover is now available in three new body colors - Jungle Green Metallic, Starlight Blue Metallic and Midnight Grey Metallic. The car will now fall under the Completely Built Unit (CBU) category after being assembled in India from April 2013. Read More

2016 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport / Challenger Finally Unveiled

After teasing the customers and making them wait for a long time, Mitsubishi has finally unveiled the Next-Gen Pajero Sport / Challenger. The mid-size SUV follows the company's new "Dynamic Shield" front which was featured on the Outlander Sport. The front features slender headlights with a thin strip of LED lights running all the way to the center chrome. The fog lamps are located all the way down in the bumper. 2015 Chevrolet Trailblazer Caught Testing, Launch in October

The 2015 Chevrolet Trailblazer was spotted in Jaipur today morning. The car was out on rounds, conducting its on-road tests. Previous spy shots of the Trailblazer, depicted a heavily camouflaged SUV. Premium SUVs Renaissance: Endeavour, Fortuner and Pajero Sport

Ford was one of the first to enter the premium SUV space in India with the Endeavour in 2003, the vehicle is now over 12 years old.
