Weekly Wrap-Up: Datsun Go+ Booking Started; Tata Bolt Launch on 20th January

New Year’s first weekend is here and the biggest news this week is that the bookings have now been opened for Datsun Go+ MPV along with Tata Bolt which is launching on 20th January 2015. Last week, in our series of #CarsIn2015, we also covered articles on upcoming hatchbacks, upcoming sedans and on upcoming utility vehicles. Besides this, the government has increased excise duty on diesel and petrol by Rs. 2 a litre which is intended to build better highways and roads in country. Also sales report from most of the manufacturers reported a positive growth. Honda witnessed a growth of 163 per cent as the Japanese manufacturer retailed 14,428 units in domestic market compared to 5,493 units in December 2013. Datsun Go+ bookings open at Rs.11,000

Datsun has started taking bookings for its comapact family wagon, Go+. The Datsun Go+ will be available for pre-booking between January 3rd and 14th 2015 for a fully refundable amount of Rs.11,000. First few customers will also receive a free “Welcome Pack”. When launched, the Datsun Go+ will be India’s first sub-4 meter compact MPV with a third row of seats for passengers or luggage. The Go+ will be powered by the same 3 cylinder 1.2-litre petrol engine that is fitted in the Go hatchback and produces a maximum power of 68 PS at 5,000 rpm with 104 Nm of peak torque at 4000 rpm.
