Weekly Wrap-Up: Audi A3 Cabriolet Launched, Raining Discounts and Positive Growth For Automobiles in November

Almost every manufacturer in India announces big discounts on their cars in December and the same was witnessed in the whole week. There were also a couple of launches; German manufacturer Audi launched its A3 Cabriolet, while Jaguar launched XF Executive Diesel. Getting back to discounts, automobile biggie Maruti Suzuki India is offering upto Rs. 55,000 discount on its popular offerings WagonR, Alto 800 and K10. The French automaker Renault is also offering lucrative offers on its entire line-up. Mahindra too, is offering discount upto Rs. 1.5 lakh. Tata has chipped in with discounts upto Rs. 95,000 on its Safari Dicor and Storme. Amidst of these discounts American car maker General Motors is likely to hike prices of its offerings in India.

If you are a Skoda Superb fan, there is good news for you as the manufacturer has teased the third-gen Superb and it will make its way to India soon. Hyundai also introduced the Coupe version of its recently launched Elite i20. On the other hand, Renault Lodgy has been caught under testing in India hinting an early 2015 launch. To sum it up on a positive note, Indian automobile sector has attained a positive growth of 9.52 per cent in November, 2014 than the corresponding month last year.
