Honda readying CRV for a makeover, the facelift is set to debut at the upcoming Paris Motor Show - Mondial de l'Automobile 2014. This 2015 refresh is mid-life facelift of CRV and is more of a stylistic update. Speaking of Indian debut, Honda has just launched the CRV last year so expect this update to land early next year.

In this facelift, seems like CRV adopts Honda's 'EXCITING-H!!!' design philosophy as the SUV gets a huge wing shaped grille ditching the previous three-slat one. Apart from this, the new CRV receives redesigned headlamps with integrated day-time-running-LEDs, new wing mirror and machined alloys, expect subtle tweaks to rear end too. On the inside, expect updated infotainment system along with other tweaks to interiors. Adding more on the Indian debut, CRV is the only premium SUV in the country that is fueled by petrol but despite this CRV manages decent numbers monthly. There were rumors earlier that Honda India is bringing the 1.6 i-DTEC in CRV but nothing has been confirmed yet; Europe is already getting the SUV with this engine.

Honda's 1.6 i-DTEC is based on the 1.5 i-DTEC motor and generates 118bhp of max power and a peak torque of 300Nm. The motor is mated to a six-speed manual transmission, delivering nearly 26km/l of fuel efficiency in European cycle. While the CO2 emission are drastically low at 119g/km. This diesel powertrain propels the SUV from naught to 100km/h in approx 11 seconds with a top whack of 180km/h+. Apart from this expect the regular 2.0 (2WD) and 2.4 (4WD) i-VTECs that are on offer on the SUV to remain unaltered.
