Tata Nano prices up by Rs 9,000 from 1st November

Tata Motors, India's proud manufacturers of the smallest and cheapest car has been winning hearts in the country. Popularly known as Peoples Car Tata Nano has been in spotlight for all the right and wrong reasons. Sometimes regarding the controversial manufacturing unit at Singur in West Bengal or the high demand of the car but now it is the hike in price of the small car. Tata Motors spokesperson said that the company is raising the price of Tata Nano by Rs 9,000 or $ 202. The revolutionary car in its first year anniversary is going strong. The car has helped a lot of people to fulfill their dream to own a car. The smallest car starting with price range of Rs 1,15,361 (ex-showroom New Delhi) is going through a price hike in because of the increase in the price of raw material and inputs in the last two years.

Tata Nano offers ample space inside the car and comes with rear-wheel drive, stout aluminum body and compact in size. The car comes with safety essentials such as intrusion-resistant doors, strong belts, anchorages, crumple zones and more. The cheapest car is available in five versions in petrol engine. Tata Nano is affixed with 0.6 litre, 624 cc petrol engine that generates 35 PS power and 48 Nm torque. The loving mini car offers a mileage of 19 kmpl in cities. Tata Motors is also planning to sell Tata Nano in Europe by 2011 and then in America. Tata Motors cemented its position in the international market by taking over the British brand Jaguar Land Rover.

Tata Nano that currently has its production plant in Sanand, Gujarat has a capacity of manufacturing 2.5 lac cars which is expected to increase to 3.5 lacs. At the Pantnagar unit the company produces 4,500 Tata Nano in a month. At the Sanand facility, Tata Motors is planing to increase the production by 20,000 cars per month. With extensive plan to make its brand, Tata Nano as strong as concrete, the company is planning to come with fully-loaded deluxe model of Tata Nano by 2012, in India. The new version of the mini car will sport more powerful engine, more comfortable and will be loaded with safety features like air bags, ABS and more.
