Tata Motors unveils new Storme at 11th NADA Auto Show

The all new Storme was showcased by Tata Motors along with their other popular products at the 11th NADA Auto Show in Kathmandu, Nepal. This new Storme according to the company’s claims is a ‘rugged, capable off-roader, designed to tackle treacherous terrains of Nepal’. The car has been priced NPR 42.25 Lac, for the LX variant and NPR 56.85 Lac, for the VX variant in Nepal. Besides the latest Storme, Tata Motors also showcased its Zest, Nepal’s first Multi drive hatch ‘Bolt’ and eXeta.

To help customers make an informed buying decision, Tata offered a new ‘innovative, experiential and interactive platform’ in the auto show. The interactive area at the show had three sections, namely, Music Booth, Gaming Zone and Customer interaction Section. While the customer Interaction section helped the visitors get firsthand knowledge, the music booth gave the customers an opportunity to enjoy and experience the touchscreen infotainment which was tailor-made exclusively for Bolt and Zest by Harman. The gaming zone, on the other hand, allowed the customers to enjoy car racing games which showcased the capabilities of Tata’s Revotron engine.

Praising the NADA Auto Show at the unveiling of new Storme, Mr. Sujan Roy, Regional Head – South Asia, Tata Motors, said that NADA is a splendid platform where manufacturers can showcase their existing models along with upcoming attractions and also help a customer in comparing different vehicles of his choice. The show also gives an opportunity to the manufacturers to demonstrate their future technology, like Tata Motors got an opportunity to do with its vehicles like Bolt, Zest and new Storme. He shared that Tata motors is glad to launch the new Storme, at the NADA Auto Show 15 and they are all set to provide the best vehicle experience to their visiting customers with this new offering”.

Speaking at the unveiling, Mr. Shambhu Dahal who is the CEO at the Sipradi Trading Pvt Ltd, said  that Tata motors is very happy that they have introduced the real SUV, the all new Storme, at the most awaited Auto Show of Nepal, NADA Auto Show. After successful launches of Zest and Bolt in Nepal, this is the third HorizoNext product they are launching in Nepal, and they are very sure that it will get good response from all on the same lines as Zest and Bolt and they hope that their customers like the dynamic and exciting line-up and have the best-in-class experience at their interactive stall at NADA.

New Storme

The new Storme is loaded with features like DriveNext & ConnectNext, based on the company’s customer focused HorizonNext strategy. The new Storme employes Tata Motor’s advanced 2.2 L VARICOR engine with an improved power output of 150 PS and Torque of 320 NM mated to a 5-speed gearbox which results in delivering a performance of 0 - 100 km/hr in 14 seconds.

The car features a fully Integrated ConnectNext Infotainment system powered by Harman™. The infotainment system features an LCD screen, Bluetooth connectivity, iPod-in, USB-in and AUX-in, along with a CD and AM-FM player and six speakers.

The 4x4 variant also features ESOF (electronic shift-on-fly) technology, which allows for the  engagement of 4x4 or 4X2 mode on the move along with high fuel efficiency of 14.1 kmpl. The new Storme is being offered with a 2 year/75000 Km warranty whichever first.

Tata Bolt

Bolt boasts of Tata’s new HorizonNext strategy. It is available in a five paint schemes - Venetian Red, Pristine White, Platinum Silver, Sky Grey, Dune Beige. The Bolt has 3 variants - XE, XM and XT.

Zest

Like Bolt, Zest is also available in multidrive modes of ECO, CITY and SPORT. The sub-4 meter sedan is available in three trims in Petrol - XE, XM and XT and five trims in Diesel - XE, XM, XMA (AMT), XT and XTA (AMT). It is available in 6 paint schemes - Buzz Blue, Venetian Red, Sky Grey, Dune Beige, Platinum Silver and Pristine White. The car features a 5-inch ConnectNext Touchscreen Infotainment System, advanced voice command recognition, SMS notification and read outs and fully automatic temperature controls on the touchscreen.
