According to a report, Tata Motors is planning to launch new products in Indonesia, and an automatic version of Tata Nano is one of them. A complete year was spent by the company to review the market condition and need, and the launch of three products is the result of the detailed market research. The research also indicated that the demand for automatic cars is high, and people prefer to drive automatic cars in Indonesia. This has led the formation of a specially designed automatic Nano, which is expected to hit the market by the next year.

Recently, Tata Motors India launched a new TVC to promote Nano, which has been an excellent hit on media. Speaking to The Hindu, Mr. Biswadev Sengupta, President Director of PT Tata Motors Distribusi Indonesia, said, "We are very clear that within the next 3-4 years, Indonesia will become our largest market outside of India. It’s going to happen."
