Tata Motors sold 41,720 vehicles in November

Tata Motors cumulative sales including commercial and passenger vehicles in November 2014 stood at 41,720 vehicles, registering a growth of 2 percent over 40,863 vehicles sold in same month last year. While the company’s domestic sales for the month remained at 37,427 units.

The company's sales from exports remained at 4,293 units in November, grew by 17 percent as compared to 3,671 vehicles sold in November previous year. The cumulative sales from exports for the fiscal at 32,668 units, was lower by marginal 2 percent over 33,418 units over last year.

The passenger vehicle division recorded a total sales of 12,021, posting growth of 16 percent, compared to 10,376 sold in November last year, out of which 10,286 units were delivered in the domestic market, higher by 30 percent over 7,910 sold in November 2013. Whereas cumulative sales (including exports) for the company for the fiscal are 3,21,252 units, lower by 19 percent over 3,97,243 units, sold last year.

Tata's commercial vehicles sales in November 2014 in the domestic market remained at 25,406 units, a 5 percent decline compared to 26,816 vehicles sold in same month previous year. LCV sales stood at 15,954 units, a decline of 20 percent over November last year, while M&HCV sales continued to show growth at 9,452 units, which is higher by 39 percent over November last year. Cumulative sales of commercial vehicles in the domestic market for the fiscal was 2,08,397 units, lower by 23 percent over last year. Cumulative LCV sales stood at 1,32,120 units, a decline of 33 percent over last year, while M&HCV sales remained at 67,931 units, were higher by 8 percent over last year.
