Land Rover has just unveiled its new Discovery Sport— a replacement for the Freelander2, and Jaguar is all geared up to introduce the new XE. This will be the new baby Jaguar and will compete with the entry-level luxury sedans like the 3 Series, C-Class and the A4. This model will help Jaguar capture the numbers and grow a lot faster.
 
In the Indian market, Land Rover unveiled the Freelander2 Sterling Edition. The GLA-Class, which is another major SUV for Mercedes-Benz will be launched on the 30th of September. Maruti Suzuki will launch the Ciaz on the 10th of October. Skoda will be announcing the prices of the Yeti on the 10th of September.

This was the first compact SUV for the Indian car market and we believe it was a bit ahead of its time. Land Rover has taken off the covers from the new Discovery Sport, a versatile premium compact SUV that is the first member of the new Discovery vehicle family. This will replace the Freelander2 and will be the new entrant SUV for a Land Rover badge. A compact footprint provides seven-passenger seating in a "5+2" configuration. This has a 240bhp turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine options, with nine-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. Read more
