Nissan Sunny, Ford Fiesta and Fiat Linea facelifts coming soon

With the introduction of new generation Honda City, the competition level in the mid-sized segment gets furious. In order to sustain in the highly competitive environment, carmakers are ready to launch the facelift versions of their existing sedans. At the 2014 Auto Expo, Nissan, Ford and Fiat unveiled the refurbished Sunny, Fiesta and Linea, respectively. It is expected that all three cars will be launched by the end of this year.

Fiat Linea Facelift

While, the Italian carmaker Fiat will launch the much-awaited Linea facelift next month, Ford and Nissan are likely to introduce their respective sedans by the festive season. Moreover, Maruti Suzuki India had revealed the Ciaz sedan concept at the show, which will replace the current SX4 in India. However, the exact launch date of the car is yet to be announced, we expect it to hit the shores by the early 2015.

Maruti Ciaz

The refurbished Linea has already been introduced in several international markets. The exterior changes include redesigned front grille, revised bumper, new fog lamp clusters, revised rear bumper with additional chrome strip, licensing plate is now shifted to the bootlid. The outside rear view mirrors now feature turn indicators. On the inside, the dashboard gets a new paint, while the company has added more utility spaces such as bottle holders in the front. Its music system sports USB, AUX-In and Bluetooth. It also comes equipped with several advanced features such as rear parking sensor, cruise control, auto headlamps, rear sensing wipers and few others.

Ford Fiesta Facelift

The Ford Fiesta facelift gets the company's new family look. The most striking styling update is given to its front fascia which now sports an aggressive Aston Martin-like front grille with chrome slats, new front bumper and fog lamps, restyled headlamps and a new bonnet design. The rear end has new tail lights, which are larger in size than before.

Nissan Sunny facelift

Like the two other sedans, the new Nissan Sunny also gets an updated front fascia with a newly styled grille with three horizontal slats and chrome inserts. Its headlights have been redesigned, while the lower bumper now sports new set of foglamp. The side profile features 15-inch alloy wheel, chrome side moulding and ORVMs with LED turn indicators. Its tail lamps have been revised, while the spoiler gets LED treatment. Inside the cabin, the vehicle has the updated central console with a "Piano Black" cluster. Its restyled steering wheel features the sound system control button.
