Mr. Alok Pandey on Tata Motors Zestful Journey

Tata Motors announced Mr. Alok Pandey as the winner of ‘Zestful Bollywood Pilgrimage’ – a unique virtual Bollywood Contest. While the drive will start from August with Mr. Pandey to discover famous Bollywood locations. He will be among the first few to exclusively experience the dynamic Zest on Indian roads, in true Bollywood style.

Tata showcased its compact sedan Zest and hatchback Bolt at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. Both the car features many first in segment features such as 5-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, new turbocharged Revotron petrol engine, projector headlamps and day-time-running LEDs. The upcoming compact sedan Tata Zest is up against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze and Hyundai Xcent while the Bolt hatch will lock horns with Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Grand i10.

This virtual contest also will realize on-road when the Zest and Mr Pandey, will cruise across India visiting iconic Bollywood locations. This innovative contest stands testimony to our continued efforts to excite our customers and strengthen the brand associations.”

As Indians have a thing for diesel engine, the company is bringing both the cars with diesel powertrain. Bolt and Zest will house Fiat's tried and tested 1.3-litre, Quadrajet diesel engine which is capable enough to generate a power of 89bhp and peak torque of 200Nm. The diesel variant of Zest will also inhouse the first-in-class F-Tronic technology enabled, 5-speed automated manual transmission. Moreover, the petrol model will house 1.2 liter turbo charged, inter-cooled MPFI Revotron petrol motor. The engine gathers 85bhp of maximum power and 140Nm of peak torque.

Tata Motors first launched the Zestful Bollywood Pilgrimage on 4th June 2014 through a Facebook Application which is able to reach out to 1.1 million people, across the country. At the event, participants were asked to create a Bollywood scene featuring the Zest as the lead star.
Now as Mr. Alok Pandey is the winner of this contest, the automaker gave him an opportunity to be a part of thrilling journey on a Zestful Pilgrimage; a fully sponsored trip accompanied by 2 of his friends in the month of August realizing their dreams of feeling like a star, making it their most Zestful moment.
