Mercedes-Benz E 350 CDI to be Launched on September 11, 2014

In order to expand its model line-up, Mercedes-Benz is all set to launch the E Class E 350 CDI with BlueTEC on September 11, 2014. The automaker will introduce the diesel model straight from where it is manufactured- Centre of Excellence in Chakan, Pune. The saloon features Intelligent Drive’ technology which offers superior control for better safety. Up until now the E-Class is available with 2.0-litre petrol engine in E200, 2.1-litre diesel engine in E250 CDi and the performance variant E63 AMG with 5.5-litre V8 petrol. With the introduction of peppier diesel engine, the manufacturer looks to tap the increasing demand of diesel enthusiasts by giving them a twin turbocharged V6 engine as the new heart of E-Class.

The front profile of E-Class now gets new 2-louvre radiator grille with the three pointed star placed in center. The rectangular tailpipe trims are integrated in the rear bumper and the vehicle rides on 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, E 350 CDi embraces panoramic sunroof, Designo leather upholstery, new infotainment system and thermotronic automatic climate control.

Mercedes-Benz E350 BlueTEC is powered by 3.0-litre V6, twin turbocharged engine which develops a power of 262bhp with 620Nm of peak torque. With V6 mill's thumping power, the E 350 CDi is capable to achieve 100kmph mark in 6.6 seconds with top speed of 250kmph. The engine is coupled to 7-speed dual clutch '7G-Tronic Plus' gearbox which also does duty in E200 and E250 CDi models.

As the  E350 features Intelligent Drive’ technology, the saloon gets an array of assist features such as Lane Keeping Assist, Cross Traffic Assistant, blind spot warning and adaptive headlamps.
