Maruti Suzuki Retails 109,742 units in September, 2014

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd for the month of September sold a total of 109,742 units as compared to 104,964 units in September 2013 which boasts a growth of 4.6 per cent. The automaker retailed 99,290 units in domestic market and 10,452 units in exports. With this incredible sales, the Japanese manufacturer finished H1 2014-15 with total sales of 621,792 units which corresponds to a growth of 14.7  per cent when compared to same period previous year.  Domestic sales in H1 2014-15 also witnessed a growth 14.7 % as the carmaker retails 558,330 units, over same period previous year.

According to the Japanese manufacturer, domestic sales during the month stood at 99,290 units, up 9.8 per cent from 90,399 units in September previous year.

Breaking the sales to the particular model lineup, sales of mini passenger cars which includes Alto, A-Star and WagonR were down by 13.4 per cent at 35,547 units up against 41,061 units in the same month previous year. While in the compact car segment (Swift, Estilo, Celerio, Ritz and Dzire), the company sold 43,304 units compared to 36,679 units in the year-ago month which corresponds to a growth of 18.1 per cent.

In terms of export, the company dispatched 1,375 units of the Ciaz which will be launched in country on 6th October, 2014. 

In utility vehicles segment the only two offering from the company are Ertiga and Gypsy that stood at 5,980 units up against 2,657 units, a growth of 125.1 per cent.
