Maruti Suzuki India limited is likely to recall its Swift Dzire models manufactured in the year 2013 and 2014. According to media reports, the company is expected to recall more than 1.5 lakh units of Swift Dzire in order to change the faulty fuel pump components. However, there is no official statement from the manufacturer's side.

If the company recalls Dzire models, it would be largest auto recall for a specific model. Right now, the dealers are changing the faulty fuel filter on unsold units and will soon start calling the sold vehicles. Maruti being the most trusted brand in the country is usually quite open about the recalls as recently in November, the manufacturer called 1,492 units of the Dzire, Swift, Ertiga and A-Star for the faulty steering column which was repaired for free. Moreover, in the recent period, Ford and General Motors too have recalled Figo, Classic and Tavera models.
