On the engine front, Bolero is set to receive a new diesel engine, probably the three-cylinder turbo diesel engine which also does duty in Mahindra Quanto. The diesel engine churns a max power of 100bhp and 240Nm of torque while the petrol model is expected to get a new engine that Mahindra is co-developing with SsangYong.

To be pitched against Ford EcoSport and Renault Duster

To chew the sales of compact SUV segment (Ford EcoSport and Renault Duster), Mahindra is set to bring its new vehicle code named S101. The compact SUV is likely to hit the market by mid or in the end of 2015 and at present, the company is extensively testing the vehicle. The spied test mule depicts that the vehicle is under 4 meter, thus keeping itself safe from excise duties. The vehicle will reportedly debut the turbocharged petrol engines of Mahindra.
