The automaker has also invested Rs 600 crore in Mahindra Research Valley- A Research & Development facility near Chennai. Moreover, the company is also planing to launch an MPV, a mid-size SUV and a compact size SUV in upcoming months. In the last six months (Oct to March), the company has retailed more than 1,11,582 units of passenger vehicles out of which Bolero corresponds to 56,739 units and Scorpio stands to 26,763 units. In the Indian auto-sector where SUV and MUV collectively hold more than 26% of market share, it seems to be a decent move of bringing more such vehicles and opening new manufacturing plants.
