The Indian automotive clientele has an incredible penchant towards their SUVs, compact or otherwise. An ideal example of which can be the bookings of over 40,000 units of Hyundai Creta in a span of the last two months. Driving factor behind the purchase decision for a SUV driver can be categorized in two major highlights viz vanity and high ground clearance. Aesthetics of the car is the first contact with the customer and the high ground clearance is necessitated to live up to the compact SUV segmentation.

Well, Mahindra had the ground clearance bit pegged down and now it seems that they have also managed to enhance the looks of the car. The Indian automotive giant has revealed a new bodykit option for its latest offering, the TUV 300. With a price tag of INR 6.9 Lac (Ex-showroom, Mumbai), the car was easy on the pockets and still bestowed the convenience of a 7 seater, in its own quaint little package. The compact SUV has been introduced with a bold and relatively rugged body-kit that seems to be a throwback to the initial decked up sketches.

On the interior, the car is being offered with an option of surround sound enhancer and rear-seat entertainment screens. Other creature comfort options include front and rear parking sensors. With add-on features, a competitive price tag, decent ground clearance, grunt and aesthetics, it remains to be seen how Mahindra’s latest offering will fair against its rivals like the Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Creta and Renault Duster.
