Lewis Hamilton wins the 2014 Bahrain Grand Prix, Force India finishes third

Team Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has won the Formula One Bahrain Grand Prix while his fellow team-mate Nico Rosberg finished second followed by Force India-Mercedes Sergio Perez. The team Mercedes continued their successful winning streak from Australia to Bahrain.

British driver Lewis Hamilton took 1:39:42.743 to complete his 57 laps of 192miles (308.9kms) while his team-mate was just a second behind. It was quite an effort from Force India-Mercedes's driver Sergio Perez who shared the podium and his team-mate Nico Hulkenberg scored 10 points and came fifth in the leaderboard table. Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo finished fourth while his team-mate Sebastian Vettel managed to come sixth and scored 8 points. Moreover, its was a depressing effort from the Ferrari's driver Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen who scored last two points.

In the 900th Grand Prix race, Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg took an early lead of 21 seconds just after the 10th lap and it was more of the race between the fellow team-mates for the podium's first position. In the 2014 season, its the Team Mercedes who has won all the first three races, two of which is under Hamilton's name while the Australian Grand Prix was won by Nico Rosberg.

From the sand dunes of Bahrain, the Formula One Grand Prix now moves to the China where the last year's winner Fernando Alonso will try to finish first and bring back the glory to Ferrari starting from 18 April.
