Hyundai teases 2015 Sonata ahead of 2014 New York Motor Show preview

Hyundai teases online with the next-gen Sonata ahead of it's world preview at the 2014 New York Motor Show. The current generation Sonata, debuted in 2011, made a mark with the Hyundai's 'Fluidic Sculpture Design' compared to bland looking previous generation. The new car is expected to hit the global market by 2015, expect the same for India too.

As per the teased images, the upcoming car carries completely new design from ground-up and resembles nothing with the current generation. The vehicle boosts second iteration Hyundai design language known as 'Fluidic Sculpture Design 2.0'. The first thing you will notice will be the hexagonal grille in this Sonata; first seen on the 2015 Hyundai Genesis, a new involvement in the design language. The new hexa grille is adding premium factor in this vehicle along with more streamline overall profile. The teased images interprets that the car will be having LED daytime running lights in-cooperated into the headlamp unit, expect the same for the taillight too.

Speaking of the interiors, according to the teased images, interiors seems to be completely revised compared to the current generation. The clutter free layout is more contemporary looking with centrally placed huge infotainment display and large instrumentation cluster.

The 2015 Sonata will be sharing its platform with the current version although, expect reversal in the powertrain options. Hyundai India presently only offers the current Sonata in petrol avatar, expect an oil burner to drive in 2015 with the next generation in India.
