Hyundai Registers 9.5% Growth in Domestic Sales in April, Elite i20 + Active Cross clocks 12,425 units!

Hyundai Motor India sold 38,601 units last month in the domestic market compared to 35,248 units in April, 2014, registering 9.5 percent growth. Speaking of the export, Korean automaker passed on 12,904 units from the country in April, 2015 compared to 14,974 units in the corresponding month last year, a decline of 13.8 percent. Moreover, about the cumulative sales, Hyundai India rolled out 51,505 vehicle in April 2015 with 2.6 percent profit compared to 50,222 in April, 2014.

Commenting on the April sales Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. VP- Sales and Marketing, HMIL said,“Hyundai with a volume of 38,601 units continued the growth momentum with 9.5% increase over last year on the strength of strong and young product portfolio led by 12,425 units of Elite i20 and i20 Active in a challenging market conditions especially in the rural market".

Talking about the major upcoming launch of Hyundai India, the company will launch its ix25 compact SUV. The vehicle is most likely to launch in August, 2015. About the engines, there is no clarity on the options yet; however, we are expecting 1.4-litre VTVT petrol, 1.4-litre CRDi diesel and 1.6-litre CRDi diesel from Verna. The testing of the vehicle is going on and the launch is likely to happen in August.
