HB- Hyundai Brazil, recently lifted covers off its new model, the HB20. With this Hyundai enters the more competitive, sub-compact hatchback segment of the Brazilian market. This is the first model that will be produced at the Hyundai Brazil plant which is in Piracicaba, in Sao Paulo. The production will start on September 20th and sales will commence in the month of October. The price of the HB20 will be USD 15,800 which is equivalent to Rs. 8.59 lakh.
The new hatchback is similar to the European i20 with a little change in exterior styling and interiors, made suitable for the Brazilian markets. Chang Kyun Han, President of Hyundai Motors Brazil said that the HB20 is the first model which is strategically developed and produced for the Brazilian market exclusively.

In 2013 new HB sedan and crossover models will come in. The compact hatch comes with three power train options. It will include 1.0-litre mill producing 80bhp and a 1.6-litre engine churning out 128bhp, both mated to 5-speed manual transmission and a 1.6-litre engine which will be present in front wheel drives and will be mated to an automatic transmission.
