Performance focused Aerodynamics

Honda says the Civic Type R’s underside is completely flat and with the help of wide front splitter, deep side skirts and rear diffuser - it generates optimal downforce. Furthermore, the meaner rear spoiler - apart from adding the hotness in the Type R also delivers powerful additional downforce. The front bumper has been shaped specifically to inhibit air turbulence around the front wheels, cutting drag and enhancing high-speed stability. Moreover, it features enlarged upper and lower grilles in the front for better cooling of that VTEC Turbo, the front fenders also sport air intakes to aid cooling further!
