Honda Mobilio RS to be available by September

Honda finally launched the Mobilio MPV on July 23 at Rs 6.49 lakh for base petrol and Rs 7.89 lakh for base diesel. With the launch of Mobilio, deliveries of standard model will commence while the Mobilio RS model will only be made available in September. Honda Mobilio RS is the sportier version of Mobilio and is priced at Rs 10.86 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). Bookings for this sportier has started while for the standard model, the pre launch booking skyrocketed to over 5000 units.

The sportier looking RS model is only available with diesel engine. The Mobilio RS is top of the line model and thus comes equipped with added features such as chrome garnishing on the outside, LED projector headlamps, power ORVMs with side blinkers, redesigned 15-inch alloy wheels and rear tailgate spoiler.

Inside the cabin, RS model features 2-din stereo system with USB and Aux-in connectivity, roof mounted A/C vents for that added comfort to second and third row passengers. Seats are also wide and comfortable with decent thigh support. Second row features sliding function while the third row has reclining seats which can be folded for extra luggage.

Under the hood, the engine specification remains same as this diesel model carries 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, i-DTEC motor which develops a maximum power of 100 PS (98.59 bhp) and 200 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to 5-speed manual transmission and delivers an ARAI rated fuel economy of 24.2 kmpl. Though being a sportier version, Honda Mobilio RS is not made for high speed or for tracks. The car comes with an electronically limited top speed of 140 km/hr.  Booking for the RS model is open, so if you are looking for a unique Mobilio model, book one now.
