Honda Cars and Scooters India donate Rs. 3 crores for flood relief in Jammu & Kashmir

The Honda group of Indian companies contributed a sum of Rs. 3 crores towards the relief and recovery efforts in the flood ridden Jammu & Kashmir. The Japanese giant's Indian companies include - Honda Cars India Ltd., Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd., Honda Siel Power Products Ltd, Honda R&D (India) Pvt. Ltd and Honda Motor India Pvt. All of them have contributed towards the betterment and reconstruction of the devastation that stuck the area which we call as 'heaven on earth'.

Commenting on the severity of the devastation, Mr. Yoshiyuki Matsumoto, Managing Officer, Honda Motor Co. and President & CEO, Honda Motor India said, “We express condolences and deepest sympathy to all the affected people who lost their near and dear ones, their homes and their livelihoods in this massive calamity. We hope that this contribution will help in restoration of the devastated infrastructure and help rebuild lives of the affected people.

All Honda group companies in India donated Rs 3 crores to the Prime Minister’s Office for the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund yesterday. Apart from this a lot of donations are coming from everywhere.
