And the rise in the fuel prices have finally started to hit the market in a big way, the proof of the same is the news coming in from the stables of the Honda. Honda Cars India Ltd. is announcing price hike for their famed vehicles, Honda Brio, Honda Jazz and Honda City. The prices for these vehicles are to rise from 0.2% - 2.6% on their current price and will be effective from October 1st, 2012.
Currently for Honda Brio, the price range is Rs. 4.05 lakh – Rs. 5.23 lakh. This is one of the most celebrated models out of the lot with its 1198cc i-VTEC petrol mill that returns a mileage of approximately 18.4kmpl. The hatchback delivers a power of 86.7bhp at 6,000rpm and a torque of 109 Nm at 4,600 rpm.
Coming to the second one in mention, Honda Jazz, the hatchback is available at a price of Rs. 5.75 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs. 6.41 lakh. Under the hood, Jazz has the 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine which delivers a power of 90bhp power at 6200rpm and 110Nm torque at 4800rpm. It returns an ARAI certified mileage of 16.7 kmpl.
Finally, the Honda City sedan falls in the price bracket of Rs. 7.20 lakh – Rs. 10.43 lakh. It is powered by a 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine capable of churning out a power 16.38bhp power at 6600 rpm and 146Nm torque at 4800rpm. The City returns a mileage of 16.8kmpl. Honda City is also one the favorites of the Indian market.
