Leaving Mumbai awestruck, Lewis Hamilton burnt rubber at Mumbai’s commercial street corridor on Sunday in his Vodafone McLaren Mercedes car. There were nearly 60,000 motor racing enthusiasts who were present to witness as the F1 champion displayed his driving skills and performed the F1 hot laps and the donuts. A few also got a chance to ride with Lewis in a Mercedes AMG Sports car.
The viewing stands were 1km long and were filled to capacity. Hamilton said that he felt great joy was a privilege for him to have presented India’s first night street race show on behalf of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes. He also interacted with the finalists of the Vodafone ‘Drive into Big League’ for SMEs in India which is currently on-going and the winner will get a chance to get their logo on the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes car which will race in the second season of the Indian GP which is to be held next month in Delhi.
