Riding on the success of the Figo, Ford India’s current strategy is to focus more on small cars than the sedan and utility vehicle segment. Figo turned around the tables for Ford. Hence to avoid any loss of their market share, the launch of the mid-life facelift Figo is just around the corner. Let us remind you, that the Figo was launched in 2010 and isn't even 3 years old at the moment.
Not many are aware, that at the moment, Ford is working on a car, which could be smaller than the Figo. It is believed that this hatchback could compete with the likes of A-Star and even the Volkswagen Up. This will help Ford bump up its sales number, giving it a larger market share. The launch of this car is still unknown, but we can expect it to go on sale by early or mid-2013. Other Ford models that are expected to launch include the new Endeavour and the highly-spoken EcoSport.
