Images of a scale model that shows the design of the upcoming Volvo S90 sedan have been leaked online. The upcoming car is currently being tested impending next year reveal. This car will be a Volvo S80 replacement and it is quite clear from the design that the Volvo Concept Coupe has imposed a significant impression in terms of the car's styling.

S90 comes with the Volvo's signature rectangular grille and a large bumper, which encases wide air intakes that are outlined in chrome surrounds. Certain styling cues find similarity to other new-gen Volvo models like S60 sedan and the XC90. The car also comes with its signature ‘Thor’s Hammer’ LED daytime-running lights. The same lights were first seen in the XC90

The car gets coupe like styling, thanks to its slanting roof-line and a slant rear window. It can be deduced from the rear quarter glass that the Volvo S90 will have generous interior room. The C-shaped tail-lamps on this scale model have been carried from the recent Volvo concept cars and the car also features twin rectangular exhausts.

For power-plants, the S90 will probably feature the engines seen in the new XC90, which is a 2.0-litre twin-turbo four-cylinder diesel engine. Eventually, the car may also feature the T8 hybrid system. According to rumors, Volvo will also launch a V90 wagon that will be based on the S90 sedan. The wagon will hit the showroom after the S90 sedan gets its global launch next year.
