Datsun Go to be launched on 19th March, 2014

Datsun, a low cost brand from Nissan, has now confirmed that it will launch the Go hatch on the 19 March 2014 in a graceful event at the capital city. This entry level hatch is expected to be priced under Rs 4 lakh and is based on the Micra platform. The car was recently showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo where it gathered a lot of appreciation from its visitors.The car is basically designed for the first time buyers, and will be put against the likes of Hyundai Eon and Maruti Suzuki Alto K10. This first car from the Datsun is based on the company philosophy of Dream Access Trust.

The car will be available only in petrol model and is expected to deliver mileage in figures of 20kmpl. Under the hood, the 1.2-litre engine does duty in developing a power of 64bhp and is coupled with five-speed manual transmission. In terms of dimensions, the Go hatchback measures 3785mm in length, 1635mm in width and 1485mm of height. With a larger wheelbase of 2450mm, the car offers a spacious cabin. While inside the cabin, the car is first of its kind to support a mobile docking system in which you can play songs directly from your mobile. Features like ABS and front airbags are absent even in the top-end variants, while you do find the front power windows and dual-tone interior.
