Mercedes-Benz India finally lists its upcoming performance enriched saloon CLA 45 AMG car on the company's official website, indicating an early arrival. The CLA 45 AMG will be the first vehicle from the CLA-Class family and with this AMG model, the automaker looks to make a home run to the hearts of young Indian car enthusiasts.

The CLA 45 AMG first saw the daylight when it was globally unveiled at the last year's New York Auto Show. While for the growing Indian auto-sector, the Stuttgart based manufacture showcased its aristocratic saloon at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo alongside the compact SUV GLA-Class which will also make its way to Indian shores by the year end.

Interiors get styled with all the bells and whistles of an AMG model. Passenger sits on the AMG performance seat which gives a sense of luxury and at the same time gives butterfly stomach cramps. The car even gets the designo seat belt in red along with the free-standing display with TFT technology which can be connected to your iPhone or any other mobile device.

Powering the saloon is the world's most powerful 4 cylinder engine. The 2.0-litre direct-injection turbocharged petrol engine musters an output of 355bhp and peak torque of 450Nm. The powerful engine enables the car to achieve a 100kmph mark from standstill in mere 4.6 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph.  The engine is mated to a standard AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sports transmission which is known to deliver enthralling power output. The engine transfers its power through Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel-drive system. The safety of CLA 45 AMG is enhanced by high structural strength of its body along with a safety net of nine airbags. As the standard feature, the saloon comes equipped with ADAPTIVE BRAKE with HOLD function as well as ATTENTION ASSIST.

Mercedes-Benz India will bring the CLA 45 AMG en-route to CBU with an expected price range of INR 40 to 50 lakh. Still it would be the most affordable AMG model in India.

As a surprise, the official website no longer lists C 63AMG in its AMG lineup. Currently, the company offers E63 AMG and CLA 45 AMG in saloon segment while in the Cabriolet & Roadster segment, SLK 55 AMG, here again the SLS 63 AMG is missing. In the powerpacked AMG off-roading category, the automaker offers the G 63AMG, ML 63 AMG and GL 63 AMG.
