General Motors India showcased many of its future vehicles at this year’s Auto Expo held in Delhi, the Chevrolet MPV, Enjoy was certainly one of the GM’s offerings that fascinated crowd towards it. Since the unveiling, a lot of rumours were floated about its launch, as the Enjoy was spotted testing in multiple cities of India and that made us contact to our sources at GM, who said that the vehicle is set to launch by 2012-end.
If we talk about the looks, they are indeed not exceptional, but the spaciousness and the engine under the hood make it a worthy choice. At a time when MPV segment is on a roll, we are sure the vehicle is going to provide a much needed space to GM in the utility segment.
The initial success of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga have shown the Indian’s fondness of opting big cars if they are priced competitively, therefore expecting the similar magic from the Enjoy will be reasonable enough. If the upcoming vehicle is compared with its closest competitor Ertiga, then there are some departments, where Enjoy scores over the Ertiga. The Enjoy is found to be more spacious, and if believed on the market speculations, having a tweaked version of Tavera’s 2.2 engine, it will be able to produce more power than that of the Ertiga. Chevrolet Sail twins and facelift version of Spark are the other vehicles, lined up for launching this year only.
