The Swedish auto titan, Volvo has been making recurring visits to the news section with its technology upgrades and limited editions etc. Apart from trucks and buses Volvo India has also managed to establish itself as brand of luxury cars in India and the company is now eyeing at enhancing its foothold. The most recent attempt in this direction is the inauguration of a new 3500 sq ft showroom in Chennai. The showroom has been opened in Luxury Atrium, Express Avenue Mall in Chennai. On the occasion, the Managing Director of Volvo Auto India, Mr. Thomas Ernberg mentioned that with this brand new showroom the company would be able to treat its valued customers with enhanced retail offerings. He expressed his enthusiasm on the tremendous encouragement and support received from Indian customers and promised better customers service in future.
Volvo has come up with a new initiative k/a ‘designed around you’, under this initiative the company would design everything around the driver and the passengers. The new showroom in Chennai would support this ‘designed around you’ initiative by ensuring an ultra luxury experience for all the Volvo customers. The Executive Director of Artemis Cars, Mr. R.B. Sivaganesh said that the company is fortunate to have entered this venture with Volvo India and the major goal of this venture would be to ensure a global experience for the customers. Volvo has a rich line-up of cars to offer to its Indian customers and the company keeps on raising its game to maintain that. Volvo has recently rolled out a limited edition XC60 known as Volvo XC60 Inscription. Before that Volvo rendered technology and engine upgrade to S60 and S80 sedans and XC90 and XC60 models. The new engine powering these models is the 2.0-litre, five-cylinder, turbo-diesel engine that is capable of pumping out a peak power of 165PS and a peak torque of 400Nm.
