What’s the most important feature you think a car should have? Sexy looks, luxurious interiors or the mighty performance? But what good it will do, if the car lacks some of the basic safety feature? Will you drive that car with your little toddler sleeping on the back seat? Well to our rescue, most of the manufacturers are now taking the safety component in a car, a serious matter, and the proof of that is in the video below:

Hyundai recently demonstrated what considered to be the most daring act to test how safe a car is? The Japanese auto giant, who is currently number two in the overall sales in India, has tested the safety features of its upcoming 2015  Hyundai Genesis. The video, shot at the Hyundai testing facility in California, gives us a clear idea of convy control and self-driving technology. The automaker also displayed advanced features like smart cruise control, lane assist system, auto emergency braking and blind spot detection.

In the video, six stunt drivers first sets the advanced smart cruise control with the automatic emergency braking system. After that, all the five drivers jump out of their cars on a cushioned trailer truck running side-by-side, while the lead driver remain seated blind-folded in the front car.

The trailer then overtakes the first car and applies brakes suddenly. Now seeing the front track stopping immediately, the lead car, along with all the five cars, automatically applied brakes to avoid collision. The video ends up by saying,” Smart technology to care for you, because we care for you.” The company goes on saying that the Hyundai 2015 Genesis is awarded with IIHS Top Safety Pick+, which is first for a rear wheel drive sedan.

Feeling safe now! The car might soon be available to Indian customers.
